Fabulous ! Our whole family celebrated my 60th and it was the perfect choice for the occasion. 9 of us , 3 nights, huge farmhouse, super-comfy rooms and lots to do either out on the property or just relaxing in the huge farmhouse. We did our own catering and absolutely loved the banqueting barn where we enjoyed huge meals, our own music, a good pool comp and then star gazed by the fire pit toasting marshmallows. Our host family made us feel right at home and nothing was too much trouble. Loved it !!!

My experience was exquisite with many amazing aspects. These amazing aspects include the company, the activities, the facilities and the great relaxation opportunities. Definitely a family friendly choice of stay. And for that we thank Nick and Darren.

Of these aspects the greatest one was the company. Not only did the large farmhouse allow many of our friends to stay with us, but our hosts were absolutely delightful. They always had a warm smile on their faces and they were so kind they offered a nice ride on a little buggy and the kids were going crazy. They had so much fun. For the adults, they allowed us to ride on their Ute which was amazing. Our hosts were amazing cooks too: on our third day the provided us a delicious picnic lunch on the top of the hill with amazing cooking, including homemade scones jam and whipped cream. My son said it beets his mother’s cooking!

Another amazing aspect of this farmhouse stay are the activities available. Of the many things that we got to do, we fed the cows and chickens, got a full on personal tour and got to experience a bit of a beekeepers life. It was quite wonderful.

One of the best parts was that the facilities were amazing. And by amazing I mean the king of bathrooms and bedrooms that don’t have spiders lurking around and don’t give you the constant fear of getting bitten. Another amazing part of the facilities was the kitchen were we got sufficient space and tools to make any of the food we desired; they even gave some free eggs from their chickens. The final part of the facilities that I loved the most was the pool table found in that little house behind where we were staying. Exquisite it was indeed.

The final amazing part was the relaxation opportunities given as they provided abundance in furniture I swear you can’t go into a single room without finding a couch or bed (other than the bathrooms), even outside their were so many couches and mini beds to sleep or sit on to just enjoy the moment. I slept multiple times and most were on couches not beds!

To conclude, our stay was amazing and it was quite sad to leave as almost every aspect of this house was amazing; the company, the activities, the facilities and the relaxation. So again thank you Nick and Darren!👍

This is a great farmstay. The house is so well equipped with both pantry and bathroom supplies. Catering is made so easy with everything you need in the kitchen. The quality of the beds, linen, pillows and towels is 5 star. Fresh eggs, honey and other produce you can pick. John, Carol, Nicola and Darren are so welcoming and will do anything to make your stay first class. Great place for friends group or families. Beautiful setting and some lovely nearby places for outings.

Wow, what a place, it was a great experience feeding the cows, goats and chickens. The scenery was beautiful with our lunch & Billy tea. Carol & Nick supplied a superb lunch with some ingredients from their organic farm. Johns wealth of Knowledge made his talks very interesting along with his on site manager Darren made our trip to Mariefields an unforgettable holiday.
Thank you John/Carol, Darren/Nick we will be back……

We spent our 2023 Easter Holidays at Mariefields Farmstay for 3 days. It was a very pleasant experience with amazing view all around. Morning mist was overflowing from the nearby westbound mountain range while the golden sun was shining from the eastern peaks including sacred Mount Warning. Darren and Nicola were the most laid-back but astonishing warm duo who made our stay extra cosy. We enjoyed Nicola’s classic scones with jam and cream with tea in the hill top while enjoying beautiful valley formed in a fertile soil as a result a volcanic eruption took place millions of years ago. Darren’s comprehensive tour around their bee colony gave us first hand experience how that honey ends up in jars.
The shed with billiard table did keep our kids occupied from the evening till night.
Cosy bedding, practical bathrooms, and large TV with Netflix looked after us while staying inside and the day-beds placed on the veranda were ideal for relaxing, chatting and reading .

The hosts John and Carol were excellent, very knowledgeable and gave us so much information about their farm and the local area.
We met the manager’s Darren and Nicola who were great and helpful that made our stay memorable.
I highly recommend this for a time out from the real world.
