I cannot express how amazing the people are who all contribute towards helping The Rabbit Sanctuary rescue bunnies from all kinds of horrible situations and find new homes. There are so many people involved in doing so much work - I am part of some of the behind the scene stuff and it is none stop, people rallying together, to rescue and rehome an overwhelming amount of bunnies in need. I adopted my girl from TRS and was pleasantly surprised at the advice they gave me to ensure I found the perfect partner for my boy bun, and how they made sure I had exactly the right set up, had only the best food, and all the right education on how to care for them, and the ongoing support is phenomenal. They talk to hundreds of people about hundreds of bunnies every day, yet they make such a personal connection with every single one of their adopters, foster carers, runners and everyone else who they coke in to contact with. Whenever I have a question or have been upset when my girl got sick and didn’t know what to do, I had a team rallied around me to help me. I am truly in awe of what TRS does and the devotion they have. It is humbling and I wish I could do more to help! Our adopted girl is beautiful and it was the best decision made adopting from TRS! I feel blessed 🙂💗 pics of of my gorgeous adopted girl, Angel (white), and her very happy Husbun, Buddy 🐰💗

The Rabbit sanctuary is a wonderful organisation that helps rescue rabbits and provides homes for them. They have a fabulous foster caring network where rabbits are looked after then a forever home is found for them. Rabbits are matched with loving homes, and on going education and support is always provided to the community to ensure rabbits are appropriately cared for.

After finding a neglected domestic rabbit in Queensland and subsequently rescuing it, I needed to find a magical bunny sanctuary to bring this little girl to safely. I found Kim's site on the Internet. Once she arrived at the Sanctuary, all due care and adoption procedures were successful. This little girl has for the past 5 .5 years been living happily with her adopted Mum and Dad. The Sanctuary is a magical place as the Rabbits' wellbeing and good health recovery is prioritised along with the awareness and education to provide for their needs adequately once rehomed/adopted. Kim and her supporters/volunteers go above and beyond in their endeavours to meet all the needs of the Rabbits and potential Adoptees.

Kim Cooney and her team do a fantastic job in giving often abandoned and unwanted bunnies a second chance at life. I can personally advocate as I have 6 bunnies and 4 of which have been adopted from Kim via The Rabbit Sanctuary. I only wish more people had the love and care for animals as Kim does.
God Bless you Kim 🙏 ❤

My wife Carmel & I were so impressed with The Rabbit Sanctuary. Kim is so knowledgeable and her team of volunteers so supportive. We adopted our little Barney two years ago and havent looked back. And the Sanctuary's website, youtube clips and other information about diet, playpens, enrichment toys, grooming etc is just fantastic.

I would like to say a big thank you to The Rabbit Sanctuary!
Kim is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and kind! The love that she has for bunnies is huge and shines through the work that she does, herself and with her team; rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming.
I was caring for a rabbit who was having health issues, Kim guided me through each step, helping me to learn exactly what I needed to do to care for the rabbit to nurse him back to good health and also provided assistance with vet care.
I can’t thank Kim enough for how much of a help she was in this situation and for the work that she continues to do. Highly recommend The Rabbit Sanctuary for anyone wanting to adopt or become a foster carer.
Thanks again to Kim and her team at The Rabbit Sanctuary. You guys work so hard to ensure the welfare of rabbits, you really go above and beyond and you’re very much appreciated!

The time and effort of everyone at The Rabbit Sanctuary is inspirational, Kim has done a phenomenal job in building a successful network across several states for bunnies in need to find a new loving home and to get a new lease on life. As soon as I stumbled across The Rabbit Sanctuary, I wanted to help in anyway I could. I have recently become a bunny foster carer in Sydney for the very first time with little Luke Skyhopper moving in while he looks for his forever loving home. I'm so privileged to be a part of such an amazing group and even though I've had my own bunnies my entire life, in such a short time I've already learnt so much more about the little darlings that I never knew before. Thank you Kim and to all volunteers for everything you do!

The rabbit sanctuary is a fantastic rescue that cares and rehomes abandoned and homeless bunnies.
I, myself have adopted 3 rabbits from here and they are well cared for and the foster carers are always there to guide and give advice. Kim has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share and pass on and is so passionate about saving bunnies. This is a not for profit organisation that relies on donations from the public.
