I knew I wanted to train at Mitise from the first moment I walked through the door.
This is a gym like no other.
To say the staff here are “exceptional” would be an understatement. They are second to none. The service and care they offer is genuine, tailored and thorough. There is always cheerful support, education and encouragement at hand, and you never feel like you’re alone on your fitness journey. A sense of community is fostered so enthusiastically here too - I gained gym buddies immediately.
Seriously, if you’re after a fitness hub that’s not the usual fare, that’s supportive and doesn’t treat you like just another number, then come and join in!

After going to Mitise for 5 months now, I wouldn’t choose to go anywhere else! Josh and his staff have created such a positive and welcoming environment, you can always count on feeling uplifted after being there. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone as the staff at Mitise are super helpful and willing to work with you to ensure the best outcome for you and help you achieve your goals.

The first time coming to Mitise I was instantly welcomed with a warm, friendly and positive environment. Coming from a someone who has not stepped foot in a gym for 8 years, Josh and his team have welcomed me with open arms. The team are highly skilled and are always there to show you how to use the equipment, use correct technique with each exercise, and push you to reach your full potential.
I am grateful to be apart of a lovely group of people.

I never thought that I could enjoy working out in a gym one day but this team, the community and this place is absolutely amazing. Josh and his team is pushing me to reach my goals every day and that is exactly what I need. I already feel the improvement in my training outside of the gym which is fantastic. Josh and the team at Mitise are super supportive and brilliant at making you feel comfortable at the gym. There’s always someone there to help you out if you are unsure of an exercise or hanging about to correct you if you’re slightly off with your form. Have never been one for the gym previously but a few months in a feeling confident 💪

I’ve chosen to work with Mitise to increase my performance on the field as they address what matters the most to me: a positive and healthy mindset. When I find my self in a slump, I reach out to Josh to debrief so I can get to the source of the problem and I instantly find my self-confidence again. So as you can see, Mitise is not just a gym! Thanks Josh and the Mitise team for creating a nurturing environment for us to grow and realise what we’re capable of ❤

I have been training at mitise for over 4 years now, and it is hands down the best environment to be training in. I don’t even want to call it a gym since that it totally underrepresenting the kind of environment that Josh and his team have created.
There’s a focus on “person first” that is palatable through every interaction! The team know every member, their goals, circumstances, training preferences etc. If you want to be left alone they’ll respect that, but if you’re up for a chat and lighter session then that’s supported, too.
Members are all super friendly and supportive. It’s not an intimidating space at all; everyone is at a different level, but there’s no judgement from anyone.
Also -importantly- no posing, influencers or shirt-off training;).
I could go on and on but have hopefully made my point that this is an amazing gym that is without comparison!

A quality, versatile gym that has it all and caters specifically to your needs. I appreciate the regularly updated and customisable programs that accommodate individuals whether they're rehabbing an injury or training for preseason or in season. Regardless of your athletic or non-athletic background, this gym welcomes everyone.

What sets this gym apart is the collaboration between the physiotherapist, sports trainer, and the strength and conditioning coaches. The staffs work cohesively to support clients from prehabilitation through to return to play or daily lifestyle improvements. The massages offered are also exceptional ✨

I’ve been at Mitise for about 8months now and can not recommend Josh and his team enough. The programs are engaging, tailored to meet your goals with a focus on injury prevention which has been a huge help to myself. The team are so supportive, knowledgeable, and have created a wonderful community that feels like more than a gym.

This has been the best gym experience I have ever had. It’s a very supportive environment that has helped me reach my strength training goals. I have never been able to stick to a program this long, and that is all thanks to Josh and his team. Having that ongoing help with my technique and program tailored to me has been worth every penny.

Josh nothing short of incredible. I have had the pleasure of working with him for a number of years in both a professional and personal setting.

Professionally, his knowledge and passion for injury prevention and recovery particularly in women’s sport is unparalleled.

Personally he supported me through my recovery of a fractured ankle and gave me the confidence to return to play.

I consider Josh a close friend and recommend him to anyone looking for to improve their health and fitness

didn't expect to feel so welcomed
walking into Mitise. Josh was super
welcoming and friendly. He showed me
around and even made sure to include
music in the gym that I like (the little
things matter). I felt like I didn't have to

Mitise Performance Group is by far the best gym I’ve ever joined. Personalised programs make it easier to target your goals and if you are like me that just need to follow a routine and not have to think about what to do this, is the place to go. Also, routines change frequently so neither you or your body get bored.
More than a gym this place feels like home to me… coach and athletes are so friendly and supportive that you always feel in a safe place.
Going through my pregnancy journey at Mitise I always felt empowered and supported and now after having my baby can’t wait to go back and continue my journey there.

I have been training with Mitise / Josh since 2015. Over these 7 years, Mitise has grown with me in my fitness journey. I have done everything with Mitise, from boot camp, 6 week challenges for toning / weight loss, general classes, Women’s strength training, strength training to support trail running and strength training during pregnancy and postpartum.
While I was an avid trail runner, Mitise supported me with related strength work, helping me to build stability in my ankles and strength in my glutes. With Mitise, I was able to train and complete a 56km ultra trail run in 2021 without injury.
I’ve also done multiple blocks of women’s strength training. These programs were a fantastic introduction to gym equipment. Not only did I gain strength, but I gained confidence to walk into any gym and use the equipment without feeling intimidated or foolish. The support of the women in these programs was icing on top of the cake and made for an amazing experience.
These strength classes were the foundation of my pregnancy training in 2022. I was able to continue training throughout my whole pregnancy, (including the day before giving birth), as Mitise adapted my program to accomodate my limitations and to grow with me. I maintained my strength, supported my pregnancy with a strong body and used my training to prepare both mentally and physically for the big day. I was supported by Mitise the entire time and enjoyed seeing other pregnant women in the gym during this time.
I am now in the postpartum phase and Mitise continues to adapt and support me as I reconnect with my core and begin a new journey.
I highly recommend Mitise for any stage of your fitness journey.

I’ve been training at Mitise with Josh for a few months now as a part of a Samba Strength training program and I can without a doubt say that it is a welcoming, positive and enjoyable session every time. From the moment you enter the gym you are greeted with a friendly hello. Throughout each session Josh is always close by making sure you are executing all exercises correctly to prevent injury and make sure that if you have any questions, they are always answered. I would definitely recommend this gym and Josh as a trainer for anyone who is looking to build strength and stamina for sport/dance as I have seen a significant improvement in myself since I started training at Mitise.

Mitise Fitness is a special place. A gym as much about connecting community and valuing the people who come through its doors, as it is about developing strength and wellbeing. Thank you Escola de Samba and Josh and the Mitise team for collaborating to create the Samba Strength program! Being involved in this program has built my personal and physical strength. When I started out I wasn't in a great headspace - I felt shy and unsure - but knew I would benefit from a fitness program. The friendly staff at Mitise and their considered, respectful approach to meeting me where I was at ushered me into a place of being stronger and feeling more self-assured. I am inspired to be in a space where people can be themselves and work towards their personal goals alongside one another. Josh is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable trainers I have ever met. I took part in a 6 week female development program and learnt so much in such little time. You feel so welcome and valued in the space created at Mitise. It is definitely one of the best experiences I have had at a gym learning so much and just enjoying working out. Not only do they tell you what the exercise is working they talk you through how to do it. The supportive and encouraging environment makes this gym so good. The knowledge Bryn and Josh have to run this female program and target the specific exercises to help with sport development and physical competencies is exceptional and your whole perspective of working out will change. You will do specific components such as agility, acceleration, strength etc that you can then work on to improve your own game. You will also do exercises to prevent injuries that are common and many strengthening exercises which will be extremely beneficial in your game. I could not recommend this gym enough.
