Nice and quiet to eat outside and often no need to book there, tea room and enclosed veranda inside as well. Friendly magpies outside. Food is good, scones are large and generous tea with them. Brunch dishes are a little smaller than usual for the price, but that leaves room for dessert! 😉

It was a very warm welcome for our party of 5 celebrating a friend's special birthday at Utopia. We enjoyed an indulgent High Tea with 3 courses of savoury and sweet delights followed by freshly baked scones with jam and cream and served with bottomless tea and coffee by friendly staff.
It was almost like stepping back in time visiting this family run, charmingly quaint teahouse in the most picturesque setting. Truly a little gem and just the most magical place to spend a few hours with special friends. We look forward to another visit very soon.

It was a chilly winter morning, I put on my old coat, sipped a cappuccino, and watched the white clouds float in the air. Utopia has made my soul relax in the middle of the mountains with the sound of birds chirping and the waterfalls flowing down.

The restaurant is decorated quite meticulously and elegantly. The signs are designed simply and prettily. Friendly service from the Brazilian waiter. I also bought a small handmade candle as a gift for a friend who will be visiting Adelaide as it is rustic and has a charming scent.

We came in for Valentine’s dinner, our first ever visit to Utopia. The whole thing was incredible!

The duck in the entree was amazing, then the smoked lamb and main course were mouthwatering. Then came the desert, which was completely to die for!

All the staff were bright, friendly and efficient, and the manager and host were both incredibly welcoming and professional. We can’t wait to come back!

Went to Utopia for lunch with my parents to celebrate my birthday. Aysha our waitress went above and beyond to make our experience extra special. Her attentiveness, enthusiasm and knowledge is to be commended. Definitely an asset to this establishment and a rarity in customer service these days. She surprised me with a candlelit birthday muffin and insisted on following us out the door to take a family photo as we left. A spectacular view, amazing food and a relaxed quiet atmosphere we could ask for no more.!

My first visit to this famous High tea was nothing short of amazing for my birthday! Service was lovely and so was the yummy high tea. For what you pay you get your money’s worth, I went with their simple high tea $45 per person and it was delightful. Pastries and sandwiches super good and sweets were so good. Everything was fresh and that is so important in a high tea I find.

Unlimited tea, coffee throughout and unlimited scones for right at the end is just a absolute bonus! The scones are handmade everything and some of the best ones I’ve had in so long! It was a great experience and I will happily come again!!

Such a beautiful little place and perfect for that post hike coffee or meal! The staff were really lovely and accomodating. It also looks like a great venue for small weddings and celebrations. With chandeliers, fairy lights and even a fire, it has a great vibe to it. Even for winter!
The English breakfast tea wasn't that tasty but their scones are fantastic. Large warm and fluffy! The photo does not do them justice.

Had a kids high tea party for our daughter and her friends, it was absolutely gorgeous. The girls had a great time, and the venue looked so cute with lots of fairy lights and mismatched china. Kelly was an absolute delight to deal with in the organising of the event, and really went above and beyond to make it special. Highly recommend.

Great small Cafe surrounded by the trees. Seating there you can here the waterfall and the birds. It is a great place to have a snack or lunch after visiting the area.
Service is excellent and the guys were very friendly! I ordered a cold pressed juice with roasted cauliflower and Buda bowl and both were fresh and light. You can seat inside or outside. Parking is available nearby and you can also call in advance and book a parking spot with them.

Came here for Brunch and was indeed a perfect place for a beautiful day after a hike back from Mount Lofty.

With lush green in the background with the faint sound of the waterfall, the day could only be topped off with a beautiful brunch at Utopia.

From coffee to meals ordered, everything was made to perfection. Perfection to lead one to food coma. Total meal cost wasn't expensive in comparison to the restaurant on Mt.Lofty.

Would definitely come back and recommend this place highly.

Kelly from Utopia helped me organise an absolutely beautiful marriage proposal for my partner.. we got to use the lawn area with a set up of cushions, blankets, scattered petals, an autumn leaf love heart and blackboard with a love heart and our initials, we also had a musician (weezy listening) who was absolutely amazing, play requested songs plus songs that were specific to our style of music, then we went up to the restaurant where we had a beautiful table set up with table cloth, seat covers and ribbons, candles, scattered petals and a lil blackboard that said 'congratulations' on it. We enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal, all the food was amazing and enjoyed a couple celebratory drinks. The whole thing was so well put together, it was relaxing and it was nice to just arrive and not have to worry about a thing. I highly recommend a proposal package with these guys. They will make it so easy and are so accomadating.

My partner took me here and the food was amazing, not to mention the beautiful location! The fried chicken and halloumi burger was incredible!! The chocolate milkshake I had was delicious! I will definitely be returning! They offer a high tea option which I would love to try next time!! 💖

I visited this place ony the 19th of November last year. Absolutely wonderful place to visit. The food there was exceptional in every way. Even the coffee. I travelled 115kms to visit utopia and the waterfall and wasn't disappointed. I even proposed to my missus in front of the waterfall. The waterfall was gushing, the food the coffee, the service and even the local wildlife made it such a memorable day. I'd rate this place 100 stars if I could. Can't wait to return.

What a serene and beautiful atmosphere, with the sound of the waterfall in the distance, greenery all around, you can't but settle in for brunch in high spirits. Eggs Bene was perfectly done, the coffee a delight, wait staff pleasant and amenable, the cost a positive surprise. All in all, perfect.

Great atmosphere, food and service. The building is a wood cabin tucked into the side of the mountain with a running fireplace during the cold season. The coffee was good, food fresh and tasty. Looking forward to trying the high tea next time.

We celebrated a birthday here and the venue was excellent! The catering was awesome - the organisers were always on top of everything and the food was simply marvellous. With the stunning views and hospitable service, this was definitely one of the most memorable birthday celebrations. Cheers! 🥂

My partner and I had our wedding here recently and could not recommend it highly enough. From the initial contact through to the planning meeting, the wedding itself and the follow up after, everything has been exceptional.

Kelly and her team at Utopia were amazing, so friendly and no request to big. They’re warmth and hard work really helped make the day so stress free and made for a perfect day. All the guest had a wonderful time and remarked about the service and the food, which when added to the stunning location and charm of the chalet on the hill, it was truly a magical experience.

To anyone looking for a wedding or celebration, this is definitely a place to highlight. I know my partner and I look forward to returning in the future

Very impressive hi tea. Four sweet and four savoury, finish with freshly baked scone. Good mixture of flavour and texture. The utensils can be very interesting too... very uniquely selected...
