My Lover Cindi

Recently, I hired out My Lover Cindi for my 30th birthday - and I cannot speak more highly of the fantastic experience I had! It was truly a night to remember - best birthday party of my life, and my friends are still raving about it.

I wanted to throw my dream birthday party, and Cindi's staff went all out to make that a reality. Their hire package included a resident DJ from 9PM-12AM, and there was an option to hire two burlesque or drag performers for a very reasonable rate. They also worked with me to create a themed cocktail for the night, which was very cool! I was also able to bring in some external catering and a cake.

The communication with the venue was stellar all the way through, even during a very busy period for the venue over Adelaide Fringe. I was fairly nervous about throwing a big party, and Rach really helped me to feel calm, cool and collected.

I'd also like to give the Cindi's crew a shout out for their great attention to detail. My party was Y2K themed, and I had bought a few bottles of bubbles for my guests. I was delighted to see that the bubbles provided were the 19 Crimes Snoop Dogg Cali Gold - very on brand for a y2k party.

I also highly rate the inclusivity of this venue. There were lots of quieter alternatives to the crowded bar space, and options available for people who are not big on dance floors (apparently there was a multi-hour pool tournament going on at one point). This made it much easier for me to host a party where my more introverted and extroverted friends all felt welcome.

I wish I could give Cindi's more than five stars as I had such a great time and best of all - organising all of it was such a breeze. A huge thank you to the crew and if you've got a birthday coming up, definitely consider having it at My Lover Cindi.

Went on a random Friday free stage night... with a friend of a friend doing their coming out burlesque show & she was awesome... there was a disability group there also doing their thing and that was just amazing too... everyone here was so accepting & just made for a comfortable amazing night... loved the experience & will be back again for sure!!
Toilets are worth the visit.... $8 toasties.. great atmosphere, good people!

Gets busy and loud, as any pub with a large clientele does, but it's full of the most interesting and delightful people I've met. Outside of special events I don't believe they serve food, but their drinks are delightful and the atmosphere has a very modern and informal energy.

My favorite place to go to hang out with mates or see a show! Their vegan Toasties are the best you will have and the staff are all absolute legends! They also offer tasty mocktails if alcohol is not your vibe ❤

Great atmosphere and good prices. My first time attending a queer event and it was the best. The DJ's music choice was the best and the performance of drag queens and King was so fascinating and funny. Definitely going there again:))

The best inclusive queer space in Adelaide. Friendly staff and a genuine LGBTIQA+ venue that knows its community. Plenty of alcoholic and non alcohol drink options. Fully accessible venue (including the stage!)

The atmosphere and energy is on point. A gay bar with a real open queer community. Lots of love to this place 💕✨

Celebrated my 21st birthday here - Kate and Rach really made the night so special. After months of preparation, they got in 2 queens to slay the night away and the perfect DJ, had made the best signature cocktail and set the place up to perfection. Could not recommend this quaint little place more! Will absolutely be going back for many of their events they hold in future. Thanks for making it a night to remember!

My Lover Cindi was the perfect place to celebrate our first birthday! The team was lovely and made organising an event for some 70+ people seem like a breeze. In addition to this, the DJ was awesome and played a great range of music. Overall, a wonderful, safe, and inclusive place.

I booked the venue for a queer event, and I have to commend the team for being extremely helpful and cooperative. They are genuinely passionate about having a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community and its shows in their support for queer organisations. The venue itself is also a really fun space, had gender neutral toilets, a quiet space and is also built keeping accessibility in mind. The venue ensured that our event went ahead smoothly and that we had a great time.

Drinks are great, they have a good selection of well priced mocktails and non alcoholic beverages too which is a great plus!

I had my birthday at my lover Cindy last week. Firstly what a fantastic venue, a space that catered for all the guests and still plenty of room to dance.
The staff working that night were awesome and mixed some amazing cocktails, the shots were pretty good too.

If you are thinking of having a party my lover Cindy is the place to have it . The team there make it so simple to organise and know what is needed to make a party great.

I had my 18th birthday party here, it was super flexible and I even got to take a picture with the drag queens that performed!!! All my guests had a great time too!

I had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate my 25th birthday with the folks at My Lover Cindi! I am so utterly grateful for the patience and care Kate and Rach put into organising my special day with me. I highly recommend hiring this venue out for any of your celebrations, I had the best birthday ever with so much love and queerness!!! 🫶🏼🌈

I have held 2 student events at My Lover Cindi and the space could not be more perfect. The owners have curated a safe and accessible venue for patrons, excellent for functions or events and on top of this, wonderful service!

Friendly, inclusive, and queer as hell. This delightful bar is the perfect dive for people who want a safe and queer friendly space that isn't classified as a stereotypical "gay bar". Accessibility for disabled folks is a priority and the owners are committed to always learning and bettering themselves. 10/10 would recommend.
