BELANGLO FOREST VICTIMS MEMORIAL

Right at the back corner of the plantation it's a nice drive on the dirt roads suitable for most cars. No need for 4x4 unless it's wet.

The drive to the monument seemed long though it isn't. It can be difficult to find the monument but worth finding to pay respects. The track is both 4WD & 2WD accessible. Parking is easy and with help wheelchair friendly. I would say it's a beautiful forest that sadly has had it's beauty tarnished. Truly worth the drive to admire it's beauty, take in the wildlife and place a flower at the monument.

Completely and utterly eerie, the old growth bush beyond the memorial is filled with tracks that meander and transverse the expanse of the area, and there are certain areas within Belanglo forest that are similar.
Definitely macabre a feeling of dread and cold pervades some places fascinating for all the wrong reasons, and some very picturesque Australian bushland to see,
variety of bird-life, was lucky to see thousands of monarch butterflies lining the callistemons that are abundant along the fringes of the pine plantation,
also many wallabies, even spotted a few deer.
Mostly fire- trail access, an off road capable vehicle would assist checking this place out.

Such a sad and desolate place. My heart goes out to all of the victims and their families.
