The Nubeena Cafe

For the time I spent in Port Arthur area, I wish I could have gone to this cafe more times. I came here to try as many others have great reviews and I was not disappointed. All food was cooked fresh to order and all the staff were quite friendly. Keep eye on opening hours. As currently they are closing earlier than what's shown on Google times. Whether it's because of winter or covid downturn. Not sure. But aside that, I'd definitely recommend. Support the local businesses. Especially in the more remote regions.

Most delicious, huge burgers and chips and just a gorgeous cafe! Very nice staff ☺ probably the best burger I have ever eaten!

Well worth a visit.

Very friendly, helpful service. Our fish and chips were great. The batter on the fish was crisp and crunchy just the way we like it. Will certainly visit again in the future and will recommend to our friends and family.

The Veg "burger" (more of a sandwich/toast, which the staff let me know before hand) was so frickin' good! Grilled veggies and fresh produce from a local organic farmer. And the fries - damn! Thick and delicious!!! 😉

The menu was concise, the food was incredible and the coffee was the best I’ve had this year! These guys gave me the best feed I’ve had in a long time. The burgers are fresh and delicious, the fries were crispy and the onion rings were the best I’ve had.

If you like classic diner food, this is the place to go!

The best burgers around! The onion rings are perfectly crunchy and the chips are consistently cooked. Also had some fish which was perfectly battered! So impressive to see such attention to detail! The standard compares to any city cafe, but with friendly staff and a family business! Definitely a perfect stop to make while on the peninsula!

This was my first time at this cafe since the last occupiers left.
The layout out of it has changed a bit with a minimal shabby chic decor. The first thing that struck me was the warm welcome from cheerful staff members.
I had the egg and bacon roll , it was way more than what you would expect with cheese and mayo in a beautiful pitta bread roll.
My companion had the beef burger and once again much more than just a burger with a generous pattie that was NOT loaded with spices.
We both had a large cap which was nice and strong and creamy.
The parking areas around are easy to access and not at all crowded.
The prices were fair too.
This is one place that I most definitely be coming back to when I'm in the area

This place is worth a hour or more drive from Hobart just for the burgers!!!!! Nice staff, clean kitchen, but the chef is the magician! His produce is fresh and the burgers ARE TO DIE FOR!!! we went for lunch today and decided to return for dinner. The food is sublime and very very well priced. Nice place. Just a shame it wasn't in Hobart.. he would make a killing.

Dropped in for some lunch to take with us on our big hike. Fabulous, friendly service and freshly made rolls and wraps - just what we were looking for. At lunchtime, at the very end of Cape Raoul, we opened our lunches and they were perfect. Generous (real) Chicken, lots of lovely salad of various types and some grated cheese and light mayo/dressing. Couldn't have been any happier!

This was the first cafe we could find that was still opened. We came in and asked for a few odd requests which they were happy to accommodate and with no extra fee. We were sitting down waiting and the man come out with some delicious pizza to sample :)
Finally the food was really filling and delicious definitely come here for a great price, great food and great service!! 😊😊
