Stop over on a rainy Sunday whilst driving around the southern highlands. Dam 97% full and the spillway on full blast to contain the massive amount of water falling.

Very nice, majestic, and all to ourselves. Rainy days are best to visit the damns sometimes.

Great historical dam with amazing stone masonry structures, built-in 1906 for supply drinking water to Sydney. It was nice to walk across the bridge, to see pump house, water coming out at the basement, and beautiful natural views. Also there is a picnic area with gardens, kids play areas and BBQ facilities.

As we drove up the sealed road towards the dam, you will first see a very beautiful park with park benches and electric bbq pits where you can have a picnic and a great time. There are clean toilets as well.
We drove slightly further and parked near the dam. What a beautiful and tranquil place. Easy access and walk along the dam for everyone.

Awesome place to visit, the views are spectacular and the whole area in general is relaxing.
Great picnic spot for the family or a get together there is plenty of amenities to use ,BBQs , toilets picnic tables and covered areas.

The walk across the dam wall is worth the trip on its own the views on either side are amazing.

Incredible place - ideal for day out with family and friends. Plenty parking options with number of bbq spots/stove. Pretty clean washroom. Dam walkout is nice - you can drive down from the picnic area however walking would be the best options. Recommended

Beautiful Historical damn completed in 1906, built to supply water to Sydney so Sydney would never gave drought. Dam is completely full, about 1 metre off, going over the overflow. Tranquil place to visit

Tucked away in the gorge, this dam is truly idyllic. It is quite a contrast with a tranquil lake on one side of the dam and a raging torrent on the other. Definitely worth the drive and we truly enjoyed our visit.
