We did it again and the track up to the clear ridge car park has been recently graded so is way better than last year. 4wd recommended to get to top car park. Btw who ever camped here before us, next time can you go at least 50m away from the campsite to take a dump! Don’t forget about the hike back out, especially if you’ve got a fully loaded pack…it’s a killer but it reminds you that you’re alive!!
Way better than LP.

Short walk to a nice canpsite. Close to water and the 4WD track in limits the number of visitors. Perfect first overnight trip if you're testing gear.

Great bush camp site 150m from the Upper Portals. Large enough for multiple tents. It is 4km in from Cleared Ridge Parking Area along a fire trail with some steep sections.

Beautiful bush site. Short walk from crystal clear river. No fires allowed. Saw some aussie night time creatures, kids and us loved it. Walk back to car was a mission.
