Worth the rough dirt rocky road up to the top. 360 views. Mind the cows on the way up. We parked up then hiked in 4km into yamahra campsite for the night then explore the upper portals. Going in ok but coming back out will give your heart a workout. Last 200+ meters is a steep climb out.

This is actually a review of upper portals, the walk for which, begins at the end the rough, 4wd only, track that goes through here. The walk is on a pretty well maintained path leading to a really lovely set of cascades, boulders and sheer rock sides of the gorge. A great place but definitely need a 4wd.

Beautiful outlook. The road up is 4wd only but not too technical. Free camping nearby. Worth a visit.

Absolutely beautiful up here. Top section is 4wd only. Take a picnic and get out and enjoy.

We hiked there but would recommend getting there by 4wd and then continuing to hike to the lower portals, etc...
