The Hydro Majestic Hotel Blue Mountains

Two nights here is an amazing experience. The luxury escapes 2 night deal includes an evening meal in the 1 hat Wintergarden with a good wine, 2 breakfasts with 2 glasses of sparkling wine, the high tea experience and a tour of the property. The property has been beautifully renovated and the public areas are a trip back in time to 1900s. The furnishings are so colourful and the views magnificent. Some rooms are too small to swing a cat in so it's better to have a valley view. Last of all, Kevin Murphy, you did not have to drag your suitcases along a gravel path, you could have unloaded them outside the door to reception before parking your car.

Spent a couple of wonderful days in this magical place with my wife and friends. We all really enjoyed our time there with a relaxing environment and tremendous views from everywhere. The high tea was exceptional, good breakfasts and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Until we did the tour with Robert, we didn't realise just how big and diverse the place is, with such an interesting and amazing history. Well worth a visit.

The Winter Garden High Tea has been amazing!
Besides the food quality, I have to talk how much my guests were stunned by the view, scenery and the aesthetic its space and location has been offering.
On top of exceptional service- I was able to accomodate nearly 20 special dietary requirement thanks to the beautiful and professional team. We still talk about how fantastic the experience has been at Hydro Majestic.

The place is easily accessible with public transport and driving.

We had the valley room view, went to the winter garden restaurant for dinner. Would not change a thing, 2 nights here has been perfect retreat from the towns nearby. The food in the boiler house and pavilion are excellent quality and reasonably priced. All the staff have been kind and this place is steeped in such history that I would love to take a book home! Loved the original detail of the art deco mingled with quality modern finishes.

We didn't stay here, but we did have their high tea, and it was absolutely delicious. 😋 The hotel is really beautiful with gorgeous views. Friendly waiters, great seating, and the food was like an explosion of flavours with every bite. It was my birthday and they even wrote "happy birthday" on my plate. 😃

Amazing views, food and staff. It was a real treat to stay here. If you have the chance take the history tour and enjoy the high tea. Dinner was also delicious.

Firstly, I must give full credit to the service and attention we received from the staff. It was very unfortunate that I suffered a medical episode, thought to be a heart attack at the time, whilst enjoying the view and High Tea in the Wintergarden Restaurant.

The staff quickly came to my husband's assistance with calls to Triple 0 and a portable defibrillator on stand-by. I am so sorry this happened in the restaurant, it was very embarrassing. But the staff were excellent and paramedics came and took me to emergency.

James, the duty manager on the day, was very attentive and followed up a few hours later to see how I was, and then arranged a ground floor room for us (we had booked into a room on the second floor) when I was released from the hospital but was too weak to climb the stairs to our room. He then found some food for us when we returned to the hotel very late that night.

The hotel has been beautifully restored and views over the Megalong Valley are superb. Downstairs rooms in the original Belgrave wing are tight, but comfortable. The deluxe room on the second floor was superb with wonderful views over the valley. The ensuites are a bit small but quite good and the showers were walk-in showers, not over the bath is in many vintage hotels.

There are no lifts in the Belgrave wing, which the hotel is quite up-front in the description of their rooms and amenities, so it was no surprise for us, stairs are the price you pay for the better views.

My husband & I celebrated our 60th Wedding Anniversary with a Wintergarden High Tea there on Sunday 26/11/2023. We had 29 guests present. We were all delighted with the friendly efficient staff, the delicious food, the decor, the views and the general serene atmosphere. We had two experienced chefs amongst our number and they were very impressed with everything as well. What a beautiful memories!

We stayed for one night & I wish we could have stayed longer. The Hydro Majestic isn’t just a Hotel it’s an experience. The Grounds, the views, the decor, the rooms, the restaurant & the food were beyond our expectations. The Staff were amazing. James at Reception was such a wealth of knowledge about the Hydro which gave us an even greater appreciation of the hotel.

We stayed here and were treated like royalty by the staff, the food was an absolute treat and the room was so comfortable, overlooking the valley. The building itself is so interesting, we spent a long time admiring the art and details.

Stayed one night in a Majestic Valley View room (401). The view out over the valley was amazing. If you want the room with a spa, ask for room 402. The staff were super friendly and accommodating with my questions and requests. Bed super comfy and shower had awesome pressure. Didn't eat here but will definitely be back.

We didn't stay at the Hydro, but we're lucky enough to be involved with the Historic Tour of the Hotel. It was the best $10 I've spent for some time. (1.5hr tour). The guide Jim, could tell you everything about the place, from the pressed metal ceilings to the light fittings and the tiles on the floor. If you get the chance it's worth finding the time.

We went here to celebrate my wife's birthday who is also a teacher. From the moment we arrived we were treated like someone special, and they did little things to help us celebrate my wife's birthday.
We had high tea in the Wintergarden Restaurant and the high tea was divine which was only second to the view. They had a person playing the grand piano who made it sing. She played everything from classical, rock/pop, to heavy metal.
Apon check in we were given a special coupon for 2 free glasses of champagne. The room was nice, updated furniture and a great view of the valley. The only downside was the bathroom had a shower bath.
We had a 3 course dinner in the Wintergarden Restaurant which although in the high end for pricing was amazing and well plated. Surprisingly still filling. The staff ensured we weren't left waiting for anything.
A top experience only seconded by the view.

I've been here many, many times over the last 60 years. I've seen a lot of changes over the years. On the weekend I called in to show off this beautiful hotel to my relatives. I was very disappointed I'm sorry to say. Too much change, the wonderful atmosphere has gone. Such a pity.

Beautiful views over the Blue Mountain valleys while staying at this refurbished icon. Open the doors and turn back the clock in the rambling creaking halls of the Hydro.

You may even get to stay in the same room where Australia's first Prime Minister passed away...

An experience of a lifetime going back into the refurbished time capsule of this majestic venue. Stunning venue over the valley on a crisp clear day. Worth the effort to drop in for a high tea

Amazing place. Staff are extremely accommodating and so polite. Rooms are cosy but comfortable. Overall a wonderful time had for my hubby's birthday thankyou. A big shout out to Ryan, impeccable service thankyou

High Tea was lovely... except for the scones unfortunately, very dry more like rock cakes... All the savoury items were delicious 👌

This High Tea is just amazing!! They have the normal western style and also eastern (asian) food!! I love their food and not only that but also their vibes is very cozy and comfortable!! They have a very nice view by the window ❤❤🫖🫖 Definitely something to try and experience!!
