McMillans of Metung Coastal Resort

We stayed in Villa 17 which is a three bedroom spa villa. Great experience with checking in and getting advice. The Villa was comfortable, spacious and private. There is a nice view of the lake from the kitchen. Nice to have the main bedroom upstairs with the children’s bedrooms downstairs. Lovely games room with pool table, air hockey, ping pong and space invaders. We will be back!

WOW. What a wonderful 4 days stay with my mum & Sister. Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing spot. We enjoyed the boardwalk into town. We made the most of the facilities, enjoying the tennis court, games room & it was even warm enough one day for a dip in the pool.
The room was very clean & well appointed. I love it when they provide things like the basic essentials in bathroom & kitchen.
I would recommend you get supplies on your way in - shop in metung has the basics, but you’ll pay for it.

The place is very beautiful and scenic. We had a great stay. The house is very clean and well equipped. There are also many sources of enjoyment such as the pool, games room and tennis courts that make the stay even more eventful.

This place is perfect for your impromptu holiday gateway, just 4hrs drive from melbourne. The river walk in front of the property is best for your morning walks. The property are pretty well maintained and decorated, with a exquisite taste. The kids playground, play room, tennis court, pool all add to extra luxury. Over all our stay is really enjoyable here. Even if in kitchen areas they provide every stuff, to make you feel like home. Thanks to David who cater for all our queries/ needs on time.

We had a wonderful stay in a 3 bedroom cottage. A little dated but very clean and comfortably furnished. Had a bit of trouble with the shower tap though, was either scolding hot or freezing cold which has been reported to Management. The views of the pond and the lake in the distance were beautiful. An abundance of beautiful bird life. Such a serene and peaceful location. The grounds are lovely and the facilities are great. Plenty of space and large grassed areas with a playground, swimming pool, games room and tennis court. A beautiful walk into the township along the boardwalk. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway.

Really good resort. A perfect spot for a family holiday. The board walk from Metung Coastal Resort to Metung Town Center is extremely picturesque. The property is well maintained. The games room is equipped with arcade games, pool table and plenty of books/board games for kids to keep themselves entertained with. Highly recommend. ( We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa )

Beautiful grounds. Large clean cabin with lots of windows, and it had everything we needed. Slightly dated but nothing a lick of paint and change of carpet wouldn't fix. Would happily stay again.
It's a lovely 15 minute walk to town along the lake, and conveniently located next door to Riviera Nautic for boat hire (which is a must if staying in Metung!).

My husband and I stayed at McMillans for our anniversary this month, after seeing its #1 trip adviser rating - we were not disappointed. The property has a magical feel to it, so much space and its beautifully located on the bay, with such a serene atmosphere and a lovely short walk into town. Our Villa was so tidy and had everything there for us and ready to use. We especially loved the views from our Villa - just gorgeous. It was the perfect choice for us, we will definitely be back, next time for a family holiday - the kids will love it!

Only one regret, staying at McMillans. We didn’t stay long enough. The resort is beautifully maintained. The unit in which we stayed was well appointed and clean. It had all the mod cons. The lakes and natural beauty that awaits at the doorstep are refreshing and awe inspiring. Whether it was having a hit of tennis or trying our luck fishing on McMillan’s private jetty, our stay was truly enjoyable. Hope that it is the first of many more.

Nice atmosphere and lots for the kids to do. Freshly decorated games room (Sept 19) and pool will be completed in October.

House itself is well equipped. In a 3 bed 2 storey house with plenty of space. Will be back one day.

Some of the recent reviews had me a bit worried, but we had such a wonderful experience here! We stayed in a 1 bedroom cottage for 3 nights. There wasn’t anyone at reception when we arrived but there is a number on the door to call and Deb arrived within one minute to check us in. She was very pleasant and hospitable, even recommending some things to do if the rain set in. The cottage was spacious, comfortable (there is a wall unit for heat and aircon), very clean and had great amenities - full kitchen; soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hairdryer and extra towels in the bathroom; laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent and washing liquid; bedroom has a nice big closet, extra blanket, side tables with lamps; entire cabin had great lighting and options for different lighting; tons of hot water and really nice shower. Location is fantastic, just a short walk into Metung and right across the road from the water. Would 100% recommend this place and hope to be able to return someday!

This place is amazing! Great location. Cottages are very well fitted out. Games room is fab. Really impressed with MacMillians. Great value for money. We'll definitely be back!

What a wonderful place to stay. The villas are sparkling clean, well equipped, well laid out and thoughtfully decorated. We had the most wonderful stay. The staff member at reception was professional and welcoming. Keep up the good work.

Roomy and comfortable cottages, very nicely furnished, but some disappointments, like missing heating lamps from one of the bathrooms. Internet access was unfortunately woeful. Playground and recreation room onsite were good.

Really enjoyed our two day getaway at McMillan's of Metung. Beautifully appointed 2 bedroom villa. Clean, lovely furnishings; a lot of thought put into the users comfort - all the usual mod cons including a dishwasher, dryer and washing machine to the small luxury items - like a nescafe pod machine, a milk frothing jug, and dishwashing tablets!
Gorgeous blue view from our balcony. It was delightful to wake to the sound and sights of kookaburras!

Our family stayed two nights here, an excellent experience, friendly staff with easy check-in, WiFi is surprisingly fast, kids playground, shallow pool for children, a true family friendly resort and my little three year old absolutely loves here, we have planned to come back in the future,
