Horsham

Sadly I didn't get to get out - I'm on The Overland. Great little spot and the silo art is legit

Lovely town, good place to take a breather during a long drive. Great shopping with all major supermarkets and chain stores. A good list of unique places worth a visit.

nice station, the only service that goes through here is the overland that goes from melbourne to adelaide. maybe one day normal v/line passenger services will reopen to here or maybe even Nhill.

Today, the only trains that come through are the Overland train from Melbourne and Adelaide and freight trains every day. The station has been primarily turned into a U3A centre but one day it could be transported back into a proper station with actual V/Line trains instead of getting the bus to Ballarat or Ararat.

Train services only operate twice a week in each direction between Melbourne and Adelaide. The station is looked after by a local community group who open the station around the time the train departs. They have very limited resources to maintain the station or grounds.

More frequent Vline Coach services (multiple times a day) depart from near the old police station in Roberts street about a 20 minutes walk south of the station.

Trains to Melbourne depart at: 2.17pm Monday and Friday only!

Trains to Adelaide depart at: 12.31pm Tuesday and Saturday only!

The Station lacks any staff. Nothing is open. There's no public amenities. The location of the station is outside the Horsham CBD so there's no shops or toilets nearby.
The building is delapidated and uncared for. There seems to be no pride shown in one of the main access points to the City of Horsham. Sadly, I wasn't able to give it no stars. Third World.
