Brimin Lodge

We had the opportunity to stay at the river lodge. It was a fantastic experience for my family over the holiday period. Kudos to Simon and family for keeping such a fantastic clean and inviting special spot.
We can't wait to book again soon!
Even managed to catch a good sized fish we cooked!

Brimin Lodge is a delightful place to enjoy a tranquil, secluded stay. There are two accommodation units to choose from, both located in unique, bush settings.
You can drive or walk along the banks of Murray river inside the farm which is spread over 147 hectares.

If you are looking for a little bit of heaven, then Brimin lodge houseboat is it. It is a quiet place to relax and unwind amongst a plethora of native wildlife.
We were lucky enough to encounter a pelican, water rats and a kingfisher. We woke every morning to the sound of kookaburras and magpies. We also caught a one metre carp on a yabby that we caught in our net.
Also, plenty of shrimps can be caught.
It was simply beautiful.

Highly recommend for Airbnb lovers and travellers in the area to really experience how the locals love. Perfect for business and private trips in the area.

On our way to Canberra we stopped for 1 night at the Brimin Lodge, 15 minutes drive from Rutherglen a famous wine region of North East Victoria.

It is beautiful property run as an Airbnb with three self contained lodges, one of which is on the river called Billabong Lodge on hire run by a very nice couple Simon and Pip. Unfortunately we were unable to meet up with Pip but we had an interesting conversation with Simon near the river.

The property is on a large bend on the Murray River and is also used for commercial farming. There are about 300 sheep, a few Geese, Emus and Cattle on a 400 acres property.

The property has everything you need and each of the cottages has a private area allowing you to enjoy your stay to the maximum. The best part is that the mobile connectivity is limited to very few patches on the property which makes it an ideal place to stay over the weekend.

Absolute heaven. So quiet and private. The birdlife is wonderful and we even had the pleasure of seeing a couple of wild deer. Will be back for sure.

A lovely spot to relax, explore the general area, visit wineries or simply fish from the property's river banks.

Fantastic place to stay, peaceful location in a beautiful bush setting with all the sounds of the bush. Great fishing too.
