Jamieson & District Historical Society

Staff are quite friendly and welcoming. Offers a wide range of ales and has a nice big backyard space! Food looked amazing but we were too full to eat anything!

The entire place looks beautiful, i didn't get to explore, but the surroundings of this area was beautiful, with the trees in this little town. Pu li e toilets was an easy access.

It's funny how we connect with certain places like Jamieson.. we will go there as kids out to wrens flat and ride the Silver spur track or Mt Sunday. Were was a hut at wrens for years, gone now so has the mad River crossing that was once there also, one of he best swimming holes is just up the my Sunday track, maybe 500 m then off to your right side, a little track takes U down to a wonderful swimming..watch for snakes of course..
Ilved in Jamieson in the early 2000,s once you talk to the locals and get a little knowledge of the place the so much more to see of course.. the Chinese diggings on the woods point road 1 km out of town is a interesting place to visit..but U have to know were it is..I look forward to returning soon. Great resource in a beautiful town. I found out while there that my great great grandfather named Walhalla.
