Mount Terrible Wines

Brilliant afternoon. Janene and John are rightfully proud with their gorgeous winery and showed it off beautifully. Tasted several Pinots plus the Rosè and Chardonnay. Spent the afternoon sipping wine and sitting under the trees by the river (with Daisy!) Can't wait to come back for another visit soon!

Great small vineyard with a very passionate pinotphile host! John was fantastic and showed us around his vineyard and talked us through his who,e wine making process and philosophy - was really interesting. And then we got to taste his wines...brilliant! If you are in the area, we highly recommend calling him up to see if he can show you around and let you taste a few vintages. Needless to say, we didn’t leave empty handed!

If you like Pinot noirs and happy to spend $40+ per bottle, this is a great little vineyard to visit. John, the owner, and his cute dog gave us a tour of his vines and we tasted some pinots made with love. Call John up before stopping by- this is not an open cellar door.

I stopped by with my two brothers and we were shown such great hospitality by John. John is making some great pinot and chardonnay right on the Jamieson River. Sensational stuff.

Friendly and welcoming owners. We took home the 2016 Pinot Noir and it was really delicious paired with roast duck/ pork. Looking forward to getting our hands on more fantastic boutique wines.
