Endeavour Foster

Full disclosure - it's takes nearly an hour to drive from my place to the nearest Mc Hungry KFC (or whatever your favourite mass producer of tasty processed heart attack may be) so for me, if it wasn't for the potato cakes (or potato scallops if you're a crazy talking inhabitant of NSW) sold at this servo sometimes it would have been a month or more for me to get my next opportunity to slowly eat myself to death. In short, for me the crispy oily fried slices of potato dipped in batter sold here are a Godsend. Now here's my review.

If you happen to be driving down the South Gippy highway then do yourself a favour and stop off at the Endeavor petrol station just outside Foster. The patato cakes are average but when you're this far from anywhere, it doesn't matter if you need petrol, or if you drive an electric car, or riding a pushy, hell, even if your walikng by, whatever you do stop off and get yourself a potato cake.

Pro tip: they keep a maximum of four potato cakes in the bain-marie so if you can, and I strongly suggest you do, invest an extra 5 minutes and order 5 potato cakes. Then sweat talk Sally (my go to is to ask her wear she gets her hair done because it looks fabulous) and see if you can get her to hand over all 5 of the freshly fried potato cakes and serve the four that had been drying out under the heat lamp for hours to the next next junk food loving sucker who walks through the door. Trust me, investing the extra time is worth it because no matter how far you are from one of the popular cholesterol burger restaurants no one can honestly say they enjoy a flaccid chewy potato cake (you'd eat one but you won't enjoy it - hey don't look down at me, I'm just telling it how it is).

PS. I wouldn't pay any attention to old mate Trenton's (is that even a name) bad review. My guess is that he was at the servo to acquire some more "sniffen petrol" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

SLUSH PUPPIES. Hadnt had one of those bad boys since i was in year 3 in primary school. Grape, blueberry and raspberry flavour is the best mix in the world.
Cheese and bacon sav in batter was amazing.

Definitely the perfect combo for any pregnant woman in need of petrol, food and ice cold drink.
