Aires Caseros - Cocina Regional

We stopped in after arriving in Salta for the first time. We were visiting Argentina from the US. We were hoping to get a delicious beer and a hearty snack to hold us over until dinner which is usually served late in Argentina. It was not quite time for a full dinner but we were really hungry from traveling all day. Oh wow! What a nice feast of local food we had! We drank Salta beer and had a sampling of empanadas, tamale, and one other item that I can’t recall the name of. The owner and wait staff were so nice and welcoming. Our Spanish is not up to par but they were gracious and so accommodating. The owner recommended the perfect platter of local delights. He was very passionate about the quality and flavors of the food. I highly recommend this restaurant! I’m sure a full dinner and wine would be amazing there so we will try to go back for sure!

A nice unpretentious restaurant with really good food, in big portions and at very reasonable prices. Because of its great position basically on the main square, this could have been the classic "tourist trap", but it is definitely not! The food is simple and mostly regional, as it should be. The service is no frills, but quick and efficient and if the weather is nice with the large windows open on the street you get the feeling of eating outside even if you are indoor. While not exceptional, I would not hesitate to go back for a hearty lunch or dinner with a good glass of local wine or a nice local beer, both offered here.

Superb friendly staff, delicious food. The “tabla salteña” has plenty of food for 2 and you can taste many different local dishes. Totally recommended. Humita is delicious!! Really appreciate kitchen opened after 4:30pm.

Yes, I ate here and would go back. I had the steak, fries, and salad with a cola. Everthing was good. Todo bien.

Some great food with a more expensive price price than neighbouring restaurants, but this translates to professional service and a nice atmosphere to dine in.

Big menu with a lot of bistro classics such as milanesas, burgers, parrilla... All dishes coming out of the kitchen were huge in size. Their roasted potatoes are a nice change from the regular fries you can get any where else.

Even though you pay a little more here, you will walk away happy.

Went to Aires Caseros for dinner after seven hours of driving. We were pleasantly greeted by the staff and had Charly as our server. He was an absolute pleasure. Very friendly, prompt and his recommendation of food was bang on. We are visiting from Canada and his command of English was very helpful as well. If you're in Salta, you should make a point to stop in for a meal.

Compramos una picada regional para 4 personas que fue excelente!! Pero lo mejor del restaurante fue el mozo Franco, un genio absoluto (rápido, cordial, amable).

Estuve 4 días en salta y fui 3 veces.. almuerzo, merienda y cena. Excelente ambiente, presentación de los platos, sabores excelentes. Los meseros unos genios.

Pedimos la tabla andina que incluye humita y platos regionales. Muy rico todo, es abundante e incluye la bebida.
A pesar de estar el bar lleno los mozos atienden rápido. El ambiente es lindo ya que asisten muchos turistas.

Excelente restaurante, tragos ricos con happy hour, la bondiola compartida súper tierna y muy rica. La milanesa clásica rica y grande. Y la milanesa de berenjena a la pizza una delicia. Lo súper recomiendo!
