What a lovely meal we had in this cute place :)
We shared the Burrata which was super tasty, totally a must if you like cheese.
The main dishes were the fresh trout and I ordered Prime rib which was cooked to perfection. Tasty and a good sized portion, also a must for meat lovers.
We did not order dessert but I am sure they were really nice.
Service was so good and attentive as soon as you set foot through the door, makes a big difference;)
If you are around Salta make sure you try this place out, you will not regret it!

Had the best experience here. Food was amazing, excellent service. We asked for a cocktail which we did not know they didn’t have, but they actually had someone get the ingredients to make it for us. Really diverse menu, also a lot of vegetarian/pescatarian options.

Fantastic food, great service, nice atmosphere…..cannot recommend highly enough 🤩 Had the most amazing rib eye steak, cooked perfectly, melt in the mouth quality, and the pork tomahawk was an absolute standout too.

Hugely recommended- I arrived at 11:30pm on my first night in Salta and the staff, service and atmosphere completely exceeded my expectations. It was so reasonably priced. I’d definitely go back.

Really fantastic meal, great vegetarian options in an otherwise limited city! Really felt like each dish had a lot of thought put into it. Our waiter was great and gave us some great wine recommendations!

The waiter was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout the meal. He not only recommended a delightful local wine but also provided excellent suggestions for food choices.

The quality of both the wine and the food was top-notch, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite and sip. Based on my experience, I highly recommend José Balcarce. It's a great place to enjoy good food and excellent service.

We managed to get a table by walk-in. But the restaurant filled up fast. Very attentive service. Waiter speaks perfect English. Each course were spectacular! Sweet potatoes were crispy and we had perfectly cooked rib eye. We really enjoy our dinner

Really really good steak! Got the flat iron steak, the mushroom sauce was perfect, steak was cooked as requested (as ever in Argentina, its always a little less cooked than traditionally used to and some thicker parts were much less cooked), steak was well rested and accompanying potatoes delicious and garlicky. Price was decent considering how nice the food was. Also got a little free "starter" (pictured), small thing of pumpkin soup, corn bread, beans. Waiters English was great and they were all super friendly. Highly recommended.

Everything about this place is perfect, the food, the staff and the atmosphere! Lucas was the best waiter and became a friend of ours. We felt so at home here and always wanted to come back. Muchas gracias

This one is really an upscale place. The cuisine is outstanding.

Both carpaccio and fish filets were very tasty. Pleasant ambiance and friendly service.

This was my first steak in Argentina fun after 10 more remained my favorite, it also was one of the cheaper ones, and they had great service.

Arguably our best meal in all of Argentina (on a two-week luxe honeymoon around Buenos Aires, Mendoza and Salta). Each dish was prepared and cooked to perfection. The staff are an absolute delight and it's a 5 minute walk to busy Pena bars to get a nightcap and see folk dancing/music. Cannot recommend enough!

Uh, I don’t know where to start.. the food was AMAZING! If you ever want to treat yourself to something delicious this is the place! Of course it is a bit pricey but let me tell you it is absolutely worth it! Go there and be amazed! If you like Gin, order the Gin which is produced in Salta and tastes a bit different then normal Gin. Rafael the waiter speaks perfect english and is the perfect host. He will guide you to the perfect meal if you don’t know what to eat. So if you‘re in Salta and looking for a place to eat: Go to José Balcarce! You won’t be disappointed!

We just had dinner here on our last night in Salta and we loved it! All the servers are very attentive and speak English (something we haven’t experienced much 😁). But above all, the food was so good!! The price/quality ratio is really great. The flavors are very unique and the portions are very generous as well. I’d highly recommend!

We have eaten here on three occasions whilst passing through Salta. The owner is also the chef and his menu is always creative and delicious. I can highly recommend this restaurant.
