Albanian Water Sports

Very nice experience, friendly people and positive energy with Albania Water Sports.
It was for the second time that I attended Albanian South Outdoors Festival together with my famliy.
We enjoyed a lot the water sports organized by AWS. There were activities for all the family, SUP Yoga, Surf, Paddleboard etc.
Looking forward to other activities.

Very good place

First lesson learned: call before you go there. This isn't a regular surf school. They seem to do other stuff along the coast, too, so they were not in when we went there.

Second lesson learned: don't trust the stuff on websites. It says there the best time to LEARN windsurfing is between March and November, but when I called, they said they don't do beginner courses in summer because of the crowds on the beach.

It's a but disappointing when you travel so far, but as mentioned earlier, call before you go there.

Can't say anything about them being good teachers or offering good equipment since I didn't get the chance to enjoy it. Guess I'll have to go elsewhere.

I rented a windsurf for my own practice. The manager proposed me one sail that was unfortunatelly to heavy for me, not adapted at all. I asked him for changing the sail, in order to at least enjoy the two hour of rental. He justify himself by noticing that I should have point it that out before starting, and made no efforts to help me...

We were looking for a place to rent kites. It’s clearly on their website: windsurfing, sailing, kitesurfing, SUP and SUP yoga. Because of this variety we decided to drive there and check it out. There was nothing at the address. So we called, asking if we could rent kite equipment. We would be called back the next day.
So we waited, but nothing. A day later we called back ourselves. We were told they didn’t rent kite equipment. When I told the lady it’s on their website, she said it wasn’t on their website. They only do windsurfing and SUP.
So don’t trust the website. Probably it’s outdated. We lost 2 days of holiday because of them. At the other side of the river (Montenegro) there are plenty of kite schools!
