We rented a car with them. We asked the cheapest but they said it was a bad idea considering our journey, and they were right.
We took the mountains to Dhermi and with a weaker engine it would turn into a complete nightmare.
Even though the car is pretty old and we took a challenging route, it didn't fail with us.
Just make sure to bring Euro to pay, with Leke things will be more expensive.

A straight-to-the-point and honest local firm. We rented an economic Ford Focus for 6 days. Pick up and drop off went very smooth and we only needed 44 liters of diesel to do the following roadtrip: sarandë-butrint-gjirokaster-berat-kruje-llogara-sarande

Had very good experience. We rented a car here. Straightforward, friendly and fair communication. They really want you to enjoy your vacation, and they offer advices, where to go and what to do. The office is just a minute from the port. If you come to Albania, I recommend visiting or writing them.

My group rented a van for a one week holiday in Albania. Arti was an excellent communicator via e-mail prior to the visit. The small storefront is just across the street from the ferry landing. Pickup and dropoff was a breeze: just a quick walk-around that included a few useful parking tips from Arti's brother. The Ford Galaxy was a capable beast whether driving through the castle gates in Berat, wrestling with Tirana traffic, or crossing the Llogara Pass. Recommend this company, and Albania, highly!

Top trip
When my wife and I visited Saranda in Albania we engaged the Scandinavian Tourist Centre for a private guided tour of Gjirokaster and Syre E Kalter. We were picked up at 09.00 by Artin, who is one of the partners in Scandinavian Tourist Centre. During the voyage up to Gjirokaster, he told of Albania's fierce history. It was perfect with a very knowledgeable guide who could tell us what we were interested in. Our first stop was a viewpoint above Syre E Kalter. Then we stopped at a bunker church where Artin told us about the extensive bunkers system in Albania.
The city Gjirokaster with its castle was a nice experience. After lunch and one hour walk on our own in Gjirokaster we went on to Syre E Kalter and the famous Blue Eye.
We were back to the hotel at 17.00. We have had a really nice day and can really recommend a tour whit the Scandinavian Tourist Centre.

THE WORST COMPANY ALL OVER THE COAST!!
If you want to rent a car and feel safe definitely avoid Scandinavian Tourist Center in Saranda (near the port). This summer we rented a Mercedes, from the beginning there was something wrong with the car but the guy from the company was trying to convince us that we shouldn't be worry about the brake system alert signalling a low brake fluid level. After one hour of drive when we were going down the mountain the car completely died. The engine died, electric power steering died, the brakes died...we barely managed to slow down and pull the car over to the side of the road. We called the company, which promised that will come and give us another car. However, they sent police officers who took us to the nearest town and told us that we will be given another car in two hours. After at least four (not two) hours, came the guy from the company, who by the way was very nice the day before when he was trying to sell the offer, and was extremely rude and surly. He didn't have another car for us, he didn't apologize, he yelled at us that he came to take us back to Saranda in his free time, that the broken car is our fault because we don't know how to drive and threatened to leave us there. The entire way back to Saranada he was driving like mad and treated us with no respect. We didn't get our money back, we didn't get another car, we didn't receive any compensation, not even an apology.
If not for our friend who was a driver that day and knew how to behave in case of emergency, we could have died on that slope and the company couldn't have cared less.
